Kendal Calling is an award-winning festival that is independent and is based in Lake District. Annually this festival invites some of the incredible acts to join us in the hoe-down. Kendal calling came into existence when a group of friends felt the need of using the Lake District for a better purpose that too in summer. They thought of creating something so huge in music that the whole country will hear it.

So it all started in 2006 when a bunch of guys hosted a music festival in the Kendal at the glorious abbot park. They somehow managed to get the top names of music to this place and everything else was set there to make this a wild first festival in the name of Kendal Calling.

In the next year, the capacity was doubled and they decided to smash great farm as the venue. Then in 2009, Lowther Deer Park was the venue because it was a wildlife theme park surrounded by trees making it an excellent location for party animals.  Then in 2015 came the 10th birthday and all that weekend party vibes galore all over the place. They opened the main stage for the first time on Thursday.

In 2019 they took their journey to Jurrasic Deer Park and they brought Jurrasic Park to the Lake District with walkabout dinosaurs on every corner. In 2020 as covid-19 came and everything else shuts down they also decide to postpone Kendal Calling. In place of this, they introduced Kendal Calling radio which was a live show where many DJs performed but now they are back in 2022.

There is so much more to explore at this festival apart from just the music like THE RETURN OF LOST EDEN, CHAI WALLAHS, THE PEAK DINER, SOAPBOX, KIDS CALLING, CINEMA, WORLD FOOD, DEER LODGE, DESERT ISLAND DISCO, ISLAND OF DISCO, SOAP OPERA AND SO MUCH  MORE.
